Yep, the lighting is nice and unexpected and works especially well against the overall coolness. Seems like some of the big guy's structure gets a little lost, probably due to the darkness and the compressed perspective of the dragon (particularly how the head connects with the body). The background is simple but rendered enough that it fits cohesively with the piece.
